Week of January 25th

 Hey, my favorite people. We just finished another week of learning. I enjoyed my birthday gifts. Thank you to Mrs. Feddeler for handling the celebration of my birthday gift!!! I appreciated the gift cards and the beautiful floral arrangement.

In reading, we worked on summarizing, text dependent analysis for writing, chapter 8 (adding and subtracting) for math, and rocks and minerals for science. Thank you to everyone for getting us the materials we needed for our "Edible Rock" activities!! We appreciate it! We have had an awesome time creating our rocks! Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures. We do have one rock left and I will try my best to remember to take pictures on the last activity.

Last but not least, I am asking for 2 things from you: (1) I need you to make sure your little superhero has headphones. We had to log-on to Music class on Friday for Mrs. Sadler and it was total pandemonium. Please, even if you just send $1 to school, I will go to our media center and buy some of the earbuds they have. (2) Please make sure they are charging their Chromebooks nightly. Borrowing and losing chargers is what we have started with this little situation. Put it on the refrigerator or wherever to remind them. Thank you for your assistance with these matters. They really are important, especially since we're relying on our chromebooks so much!! Remember, tomorrow is a teacher work day so your babies do not have to attend school!! Woohoo, I will see everyone on Tuesday.

Week of March 22nd

 Well, we made it through another week!! We have a few more to go and Spring Break will be here before we realize it. We began the week with finishing up our book clubs and are finishing the week with our "College Day". You will see pics from both below. We were out Thursday and I'm glad the district thought of our safety first. Another good thing was we do not have to make up a day for being out, thanks to the virtual world. This week, we will have 2 asynchronous days, in which the students will stay home but log on to our Google Classroom and go through the Pathway to complete assignments. The 2 days are this Thursday and Friday, March 25th and March 26th. No new learning will occur on those days, but students will still be responsible for completing and turning in assignments to be graded. Students will log on at 9 and will be working virtually from home on both days on material that we have already covered. My office hours both days will be from 9-11 AM in case there

Week of March 29th

 Well, here's to another long weekend!!! I hope their asynchronous day went smoothly. I was in the Google Classroom during my office hours and a few of them reached out to me. Remember, Monday, March 29th, is the new Spring picture day. Students can bring a change of clothes so they can feel comfortable after taking their picture. Also, remember we are out Friday, April 1st in observance of Good Friday! Y'all, I can't believe Spring Break is already here. We will be out from April 1st-April 9th. We will return on April 12th. MAP testing will happen the following week. Are you ready for the countdown to summer?!  Have a great weekend and I can't wait to see their bright faces on Monday!!

Week of May 10th

Thank you for all of my awesome teacher appreciation gifts!! I even was treated to San Jose this week. I received a lot of my favorite snacks (popcorn, Werther's, and mini Chips Ahoy) as well as some gift cards to my favorite restaurants and stores. Thank you so much for everything!! Thank you for being so supportive as well. We are all one community and I wouldn't be able to do it without your support!! I hope what the kids take with them is always give their best, believe they can accomplish anything they desire!! Thanks for sharing your babies with me! Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to see them today (though every week is Teacher Appreciation Week) because I had an emergency come up, but I will be back on Monday.  With testing coming up next week (the week of the 17th), we are going to be spending the next week just focusing on math and reading.
