Weekly Agenda coming later!!!  Woohoo!!! We are down to 10 days. I know we are going to finish the year strong. We are still working hard and I know that from our participation and work. They know that if it is not up to par, that means more work for them. To celebrate their hard work, we will have Gator Games on this Tuesday, June 1st.  For Gator Games, we are asking that students do not wear bathing suits but they can bring a change of clothes. This year, Gator Games will look a little different, of course. Our theme is Gator Game Olympics and the country we are representing is Chile. Since we do not have field day shirts, the students can use old white t-shirts to draw their country's flag or anything symbolic of that country, paint their face the colors of the country's flag, or dress in appropriate clothing symbolic of Chile. We have researched Chile and even created a one pager with some fun facts about it. So they are more than prepared. They do not have to dress as if t

Woohoo!!!! We have finished our state testing. We are now down to the last 15 school days. We are going to finish strong because we have worked so hard this year. We have May 31st coming up which is a holiday for everyone and Gator Games on June 1.  In reading, we will finish our class novel The Lemonade War . In our notebooks, we are taking notes on the vocabulary, doing predictions, and reviewing skills we have already covered. We are currently on chapter 6 and may start reading 2 chapters on some days, so that we finish before the end of the year. In math, we are reviewing geometry, time, measurement, and graphs. Science will consist of weathering, erosion, and deposition this week. Below you will find the agenda for the upcoming week. I would, also, like to give a "SHOUT OUT" to Sydney. She was one of the winners for the original book cover drawings. Congratulations again Sydney!!!!

Thank you for all of my awesome teacher appreciation gifts!! I even was treated to San Jose this week. I received a lot of my favorite snacks (popcorn, Werther's, and mini Chips Ahoy) as well as some gift cards to my favorite restaurants and stores. Thank you so much for everything!! Thank you for being so supportive as well. We are all one community and I wouldn't be able to do it without your support!! I hope what the kids take with them is always give their best, believe they can accomplish anything they desire!! Thanks for sharing your babies with me! Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to see them today (though every week is Teacher Appreciation Week) because I had an emergency come up, but I will be back on Monday.  With testing coming up next week (the week of the 17th), we are going to be spending the next week just focusing on math and reading. So, no new notes in science and social studies until after the 19th. We are focusing on geometry, measurement, an

Last week was awesome!! I'm hoping we can keep the rain so that we can go outside and get some sun. This week, we are coming up on interim time (5/7). Please make sure to check with your child about any missing work. I am still putting late assignments into the gradebook, but please let me know if you have any questions. We just finished our unit on fractions, poetry, and figurative language. We will continue to review as we go through the rest of the quarter. This week, we are working on text structures, telling time (Chapter 12), and finishing our unit on Africa. We will be going into science weathering, erosion, and deposition next. Please remember the agenda is attached and the best place to make references to study is your child's notebooks. We are almost at the end of the year. June 11th will be the last day. We will have our SC Ready test on May 18-20 and Gator Games (which will look a little different this year) on June 1st. We're rolling the days in quick now!!! WE
