Week of February 8
Good afternoon everyone,
We have had an awesome week!! This week we worked on subtraction, point of view, text dependent analysis, and natural disasters. The kids have loved relating everything they read and watch to point of view. They are getting it!! Woohoo!! Something you can practice at home with your child besides multiplication facts are adding and subtracting 3-4 digit numbers. The majority of us have it and those of us who don't will have it before the end of next week. Thank you for your support!!
Also, all of R2 will be celebrating "Read Across America". We would like for you to read a book and be interviewed about your career. If you work in any of the following fields and are interested, please email me ASAP: medical field, firefighter, zoologist, computer coding, or hospitality field.
As a reminder, we will start our book study next week. Please, if possible, try to have your little her here by 8:15. We will begin working in book study groups from 8:15-8:45. These books will only be read here at school, so you do not have to worry about keeping up with them at home.
Last but not least, you should have your child's report card no later than Monday. They have been mailed out. We are now in the 3rd quarter, so let's start the quarter off strong!! I have attached the agenda for the week below.
